Snowy Owl

Rebecca, aged 5 is a new student of mine. In fact, this piece was created in just her first class. However, upon the beautiful completion of this work, which was completed entirely by Rebecca, I knew it deserved a place in the student gallery. 'Snowy Owl' is also being featured on the home page of the website.

There are several reasons why Rebecca's talent shines in the piece. The drawing of the work and colour choices, as well as all the decisions involved in making the piece were made completly by Rebecca. The piece may be beautiful, but the real beauty is that its her talent shining through. What impresses me the most is her rich colour choices. The salted, richly coloured right wing creates a bold expression for such a young artist. Time will only tell what this young artist can do.
