Corresponding poem: Apartheid
The heart bleeds rivers
They flow through the veins
Exploding the exploits of many pains
And rivers form in the soft of the eyes
The heart of the soul cries!
Erasing fears, erasing lies
Wishing love to come as a prize
The heart beats, as the rivers bleed
The soul a sponsor, answers their pleas
And its blood frees to tears in the eyes
To recognize the soul as it cries
and redeem a most worthy prize
the eyes are privy to the soul
as blood spills the secrets of the heart
entombed in my body,
running through my figure,
I figure, you will never know
The outside is blanche as the snow
Clean as a model
Though cobwebs stir inside and fires burn
The blood spills the secrets of the heart
So the soul doesn’t tear apart
There’s apartheid inside
Though it doesn’t show
Let my image be clean as untread snow.
